Siyu Wu, a graduate student pursuing a doctorate in information in the Penn State College of Information Sciences and Technology, was selected to attend the Future Leaders Summit hosted by the Michigan Institute for Data Science (MIDAS). The event offers outstanding graduate students, postdocs and early-career faculty from around the U.S. the opportunity to engage in research discussions with peers and research leaders and to receive career mentoring as they grow to become leaders in data science and artificial intelligence (AI) research. 

The summit, which will be held April 8-10 at the University of Michigan, selected attendees whose graduate work falls into this year’s theme, “Responsible Data Science and AI.” Wu's research focuses on the intersection of large language models with cognition architecture, machine learning in data science and their profound implications for information systems and human-computer interaction. She was nominated by Dr. Lee Giles, her collaborator on this paper, and will attend the conference fully funded.
